Staffing Allocation Model
Current Update
The first stage of the School Staff Allocation Model was used for the first time to allocate core teaching and administration staff to schools for 2007.
The second stage of developing the remaining staff categories that are allocated to meet various student needs, such as ESL and special needs, is continuing.
The model is expected to be fully implemented by 2010.

Overview
This project aims to allow for more flexibility and
transparency in staffing arrangements, to meet the
needs of students. A more equitable staffing formula
will be developed which will include guidelines that
allow schools more flexibility in their staffing arrangements.
A position has been funded until 2007 to manage the
project.
