Learning Profiles
Current Update
Schools across the Northern Territory are now monitoring student achievement using the online Curriculum eTool, and reporting to parents using this tool occurred at the end of Semester 1.
Moderation activities occurred in Semester 1, and these will lead to standards validation. Student work samples are being promoted through professional learning activities focusing on assessment planning and moderation.
A digital learning profile to be available for students, teachers and parents through the school portal is under development and due to be tested in pilot schools at the start of 2008.

Overview
The aim of the Learning Profiles initiative is to
ensure all students in Northern Territory Government
schools have a learning profile that records their
learning needs, progress and achievements. Schools will use the information on student profiles for reporting to parents, DEET and to inform school improvement.
