Expand the Range of Vocational, Enterprise and VET Curriculum
Current update
There has been an increase in the number of students completing their NT Certificate of Education (NTCE) since the commencement of this project in 2005. While the increase may not be directly attributed to this project, the extra support for and number of students participating in VET will have contributed to improved NTCE completion rates. Ninety-two more students in 2006 completed at least one unit of VET that contributed to the completion of their NTCE, than in 2004.
The new School to Work Transition Strategic Plan 2007-2009 is available on the DEET website.
Enterprise Establishment Grants applications for 2008 are now open.

Overview
The aim of the project is to offer a more relevant
curriculum to senior students by expanding the
vocational, enterprise and VET curriculum. The
enterprise establishment grants program will assist
schools to work with their local communities to
utilise skills they learn from VET programs. Two
positions have been funded to expand the curricula
and support the implementation of the enterprise
establishment grants program.
