Building Better Schools

In February 2005, the Northern Territory Government announced Building Better Schools – a $42 million investment to improve secondary education over the next four-years.

Building Better Schools is about

• providing greater access to secondary education for all young Territorians
• better engaging young people and their families in secondary schooling and
• improving student performance in secondary education across the Northern Territory
• a focus on teaching and learning in the Middle Years.

Building Better Schools is a package of initiatives approved by Government as a result of the recommendations made in the review of secondary education in the Northern Territory led by Dr Gregor Ramsey, and the subsequent community consultation that occurred in 2004... more
